Justice Department charges two former twitter employees with spying over Saudi Arabia

Twitter faced chaotic scenery within them, while two of their employees, from Saudi Arabia, spied the accounts of users. The two staffs have been alleged that they have been spying on the accounts of the other users, including their mail ids, phone details and addresses.

The Department of Justice on Wednesday charged two previous Twitter representatives for keeping an eye on clients for the benefit of Saudi Arabia. The charges claim that Ali Alzabarah and Ahmad Abouammo utilized their worker accreditations to get to dig around data about some specified Twitter clients. In their digging of information, they included their email addresses, birth dates, telephone numbers and addresses. A third individual, Ahmed Almutairi, was likewise charged for working as a bridge between these two Twitter workers.

The three men faced a most extreme sentence of 10 years of imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. Abouammo faced an extra 20 years and another $250,000 fine for deceiving FBI operators, the Justice Department said. Abouammo is a U.S. resident and worked at Twitter from November 2013 until May 2015 as a media organizations director for the Middle East and North Africa areas, the records said. Alzabarah is a Saudi resident and worked for Twitter from August 2013 until December 2015 as a twitter quality maintaining specialist.

According to the charges, Abouammo utilized his certifications to sort out the email and phone details of the various Twitter clients, mainly of those who are pundits of the Saudi illustrious family. Alzabarah, in the interim, utilized his representative accreditations to get to the private data of the data nurtured by Abouammo.
