A leading food and beverage brand, Storia has successfully raised $6 million from Sixth Sense Ventures in the Series A round of funding.

Storia will make use of the funding from Sixth Sense Ventures to widen its business, undergo product launches, and effectively develop a healthy distribution network across the country. Shakes is the core brand of the startup, which is a no sugar juice along with natural tender coconut water.

On the funding received, Vishal Shah, Founder and MD, Storia, said, “Sixth Sense and Storia, both, believe in a similar value system of investing in a consumer of tomorrow, today, which makes us a great fit. We, at Storia, feel a great responsibility towards what our consumers eat, and being a brand that has been R&D driven, we’ve been able to remain true to serving products that are delicious, convenient, sustainable to the environment, and inspire a healthier lifestyle.”

Storia is likely to emphasize the go-to food and beverage brand for future health-conscious consumers.

Storia was founded in 2017 and held the omnichannel distribution strategy that distributes through modern & general trade on websites and online marketplaces. At present, Storia is operating in 33 cities in India with more than 50000+ retail outlets.

The brand claimed that it was able to maintain positive growth throughout the financial year amid the covid-19 pandemic.

It is a Mumbai-based startup and is highly emphasizing healthy beverages that consist of India’s highest fruit content shakes. However, the startup is already transforming the on-go beverage brand while harnessing its position in the global market and scaling up rapidly.

Sixth Sense Ventures Founder and CEO Nikhil Vora said, “The Storia story is one that we, the Sixth Sense team, believe is in line with the evolution of the Indian consumer. Even though beverages as a category is one of the toughest consumer categories to crack, we do believe that the right strategy of distribution (offline focused) and a well-rounded product portfolio (targeting niche segments and expanding into related categories), can be a strong combination to crack the space.”
